Hello everyone!
You were asking for an update, so here it is!
Still no news from the Narnia front, but things are looking good. Whenever we have any news we will let you know.
And since there is nothing to update about other than the cover art for the “Easy Virtue” DVD which will be released on March 16th (Thank God they changed the over-photoshoped picture of Ben!), I have added to the gallery a few beautiful HQs of the Press Conference for Narnia Ben did in New York in May which I believe we didn’t have in our galley. Enjoy!
The Holidays are finally over and here at benbarnesfan.com we are hoping that 2009 will be as awesome as 2008 has been for Ben!
And what a better way to start off by adding this new picture I have stumbled upon today. It’s gorgeous, check it out:
A few days ago we found out that Disney has pull out of the third Narnia installment “The Voyage of the Dawn Treader” which was in pre-production and set for a spring shoot for a planned May 2010 release.
Walt Disney Pictures and Walden Media have confirmed that for budgetary and logistical reasons the Burbank-based studio is not exercising its option to co-produce and co-finance The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader with Walden.
Walden has a strong relationship with the C.S. Lewis estate and will shop “Treader” in hopes of finding a new partner. The most likely candidate at this stage is Fox, which markets and distributes Walden fare under the Fox Walden banner.Source
Thanks to Megan for the news tip and let’s hope everything turns out for the best!
MTV‘s Larry Carroll just updated on the Twilight sequel “New Moon”:
MTV News has confirmed that 27-year-old “Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian” heartthrob Ben Barnes is throwing his hat into the ring. The actor is already quite popular with the “Twilight” fanbase and shares the same manager as both Copon and “Twilight” star Cam Gigandet. Barnes is believed to be campaigning for the role of Aro, a mind-reading vampire whose “New Moon” encounter with Edward and Bella helps shape their destiny together. » Read the whole article.
Ben is officially very interested on taking the role and being part of the Twilight saga.

Thanks to Blandine for the tip!
In my latest update there was an interesting discussion going on. I’m sorry for those who are tired of the topic but given that Twilight is everywhere, you cannot run or hide from it, let’s just embrace it. Would you like to see Ben in the further sequels of the movie?
