Netflix has announced cast members – along with the writers and directors – for ‘Cabinet of Curiosities’, its anthology series from Oscar winner Guillermo del Toro that’s set for next year.

Production has begun in Toronto on creator, EP and co-showrunner del Toro’s collection of live-action stories that Netflix says is meant to challenge our traditional notions of horror. From macabre to magical, gothic to grotesque or classically creepy, the eight sinister tales – including two original works by del Toro – will be brought to life by a team of writers and directors personally chosen by the ‘Shape of Water’ filmmaker.

Crispin Glover (River’s Edge) and Ben Barnes (Shadow and Bone) star in an episode written by Lee Patterson (Curve, The Colony) (based on a short story by H.P. Lovecraft) and directed by Keith Thomas (Firestarter).

Netflix is returning to the Grishaverse. The fantasy series ‘Shadow and Bone’ has been renewed for a second season, the streamer announced today.

Executive producer and showrunner Eric Heisserer and the main cast — Jessie Mei Li, Archie Renaux, Freddy Carter, Amita Suman, Kit Young, Danielle Galligan, Calahan Skogman, and Ben Barnes, as well as the beloved goat Milo — are all set to return to the show, which is based on the best-selling Grishaverse book series by Leigh Bardugo, who is also executive producing.

Like Season One, Season Two will consist of eight, one-hour episodes.

‘Shadow and Bone’ is currently streaming worldwide on Netflix.

The cast of ‘Shadow and Bone’ will participate in an exclusive Q&A panel, as well as share a sneak peek from the show, during IGN’s Fan Fest 2021 – a free, two-day digital event that will feature exciting first looks, exclusive gameplay, cast reunions, new details, and interviews from around the world – while spotlighting some of the most anticipated entertainment of the year. The event will take place on February 26th and 27th.
