Hello everyone!
First of all, THANK YOU for all your birthday messages in this post! They seriously made my birthday so much better, so thank you. I really appreciate it and I did not expect it at all (though I think that what Tran did was a little over the top). Anyway, thank you!
I have quite a lot of stuff to update you on… I hope you didn’t think I abandoned the site.
Thanks again to our lovely scan provider Debbie for sending these amazing scans our way.
This spread is from an unknown Bulgarian publication (if someone does know, please let us know!):
Also, here’s the cover for an (again!) unknown Israeli publication, the cover of the May issue of TopMagazine and the cover for the August issue of Aera – all thanks to Debbie. Enjoy!
New “Bigga than Ben” Promotional pictures, check them out! Cobakka is looking fierce.
» News on “The Picture of Dorian Gray”:
Thompson’s frequent film partner Oliver Parker is already in preproduction on a dark version of Oscar Wilde’s Dorian Gray, with Barnes and Firth joined by Rebecca Hall, Rachel Hurd Wood, Fiona Shaw, Emilia Fox, Charlotte Riley, Johnny Harris, Maryam D’Abo and Douglas Henshall. Source
Principal photography is set to begin July 28, 2008, with Oliver Parker directing a script by relative newcomer Toby Finlay. According to producer Barnaby Thompson, “the idea is to give it a sexy, contemporary feel but still doing it in period.” Source
So, apparently filmimg starts on July 28, that’s tomorrow! and a good friend of Ben, fellow actor Colin Firth, is in it too.
If anyone has/finds more information, do not hesitate to let us know!
I have opened a Youtube channel for BBF. Make sure to suscribe to our videos as I will be uploading more videos soon.
As for the Birthday Book Project, I am accepting submissions until Tuesday. Moreover, if you want to submit just text (a story, a song, a poem, etc…) because you are not good with graphics, you can do so. If you haven’t heard back from us, your entry has most likely been accepted, though I will let everyone know if their submissions have been accepted. Thanks to everyone who has participated so far!
Hello everyone!
Since these mp3s have been quite successful at different LJ Communities, I have decided to post them here so you all can grab them. You might use them as your ringtone, alarm, Windows start-up tune or just sync them to your ipod. In short, do whatever you want with them! They are some snippets of some Ben’s quotes and Ben reading “Prince Caspian”. Big thanks to the beloved LJ Community of mine Narnia Dazzle.
» “Who’s you daddy?” from this video (2:13). Download it here. (Right click and save as…)
» “Will you be my princess” Download it here. (Right click and save as…)
» Ben reading ‘Prince Caspian’: “Prince Caspian lived in a great castle in the center of Narnia…” from this video. Download it here. (Right click and save as…)
Please do not hotlink. I will find out one way or another and I will take them down immediately, so please don’t do it, it’s rude. Also, download them as soon as possible as they might not be up for long (Tran might hunt me down for this as we have a reputation to keep. No joke).
In other news, here‘s a very interesting article from The Independent (UK) which talks about Ben, definitely worth the read.
The lovely member of BBF at LJ inemien has once again scanned an article on Ben and his Narnia co-star William from the dutch magazine Hitkrant. Those dutch sure love them some Bin Bons…
Here’s the translated interview (Thanks inemien!):
Battle of the Narnia-boys: William vs. Ben
Intro: William Moseley was THE hunk from ‘The Chronicles of Narnia’, but newcomer Ben is on his way to take that place.
In the movie you do some serious heroic stuff. How tough are you in daily life?
William: I dare to take a challenge, especially when it comes with something really adventurous. TO me, Narnia was an amazing challenge, and I’m happy to have started with it. If that was a good thing, is up to you.
Ben: I am as brave as Prince Caspian, although I have to admit I don’t find him very tough. He is quite insecure about what he has to do, and he believes in people who are better at things than he is. He doesn’t really want to be a king, nor a leader. That’s just like me; I’m not ready to be famous yet.
Do you dare to take risks?
Ben: No, not really. Someone first has to challenge me before I take a risk, and my younger brother is very good at that. Because of him I’ve done a lot of things which otherwise I’d never do. I’m still glad he gets to me like that. It would be a shame if I’d regret things later.
Hey everyone,
I have added some more pictures of Ben in Prague yesterday. Check them out!
After Party:
You can watch two different clips of Ben arriving at the premiere and then getting interviewed here and here.
Just a little short notice to remind you that tomorrow’s the “Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian” Premiere at the O2 Arena in London, finally! We will keep you updated on this.
