Photographer Cedric Diradourian posted this picture of Ben for Cut Magazine in his blog, you can now see in our gallery. The theme for the photoshoot is sort of dark which is something new, I like it. Enjoy!
Good morning everyone!
First off, thanks to the amazing beckytheelf for donating these scans and translating the interview for BBF!
PREMIÈRE: Ben, are you ready to join the church of Scientology or to study Kabbalah?
Ben Barnes: Mmm…no. Definitely not. Scientology scares me. But if it allows you to have a wife like Katie Holmes, I can understand why some find arguments about it. Not me.
PREMIÈRE: Are you ready to go out with Scarlett Johansson?
Ben Barnes: Only her or are you giving me the choice between all the young actresses? Because I’m ready to attend to some fully.

What is the press archive for, you may ask? It is where all Ben related interviews, articles, etc will be stored. Make sure to add it to your bookmarks!
‘Dorian Gray’ update –
It’s good to see I am not the only one extremely excited about this project (being an English major student I can’t help but love Oscar Wilde). Finally, more information on this project has become available like for example this first picture featuring Ben and Colin Firth (who plays Lord Henry Wooton):
As previously announced, Oliver Parker-directed “Dorian Gray” toplines Ben Barnes as Dorian Gray and also stars Colin Firth. Ealing’s Barnaby Thompson produces.
Other cast members announced Aug. 7 are Ben Chaplin, Emilia Fox, Rachel Hurd-Wood, Fiona Shaw, Maryam D’Abo, Pip Torrens, Douglas Henshall, Caroline Goodall, Michael Culkin, Johnny Harris and newcomer Max Irons, son of Jeremy Irons. Source
Therefore, the IMDB Profile page for the film has been updated with the names the rest of the cast.
On a sidenote, Ben was photographed backstage at the opening night performance of Britain’s Got Talent winner George Sampson two days ago. I’m currently working on getting the pictures untagged, so expect an update soon!
Hello everyone,
Huge update ahead, be aware.
First of all, I have some good news: Ben is nominated for the National Movie Awards (look out for all the results at the ceremony on ITV1 in September) in the cathegory of Best Male Performance for “Prince Caspian. Make sure to place your vote HERE.

First of all, THANK YOU for all your birthday messages in this post! They seriously made my birthday so much better, so thank you. I really appreciate it and I did not expect it at all (though I think that what Tran did was a little over the top). Anyway, thank you!
I have quite a lot of stuff to update you on… I hope you didn’t think I abandoned the site.
Thanks again to our lovely scan provider Debbie for sending these amazing scans our way.

» News on “The Picture of Dorian Gray”:
Thompson’s frequent film partner Oliver Parker is already in preproduction on a dark version of Oscar Wilde’s Dorian Gray, with Barnes and Firth joined by Rebecca Hall, Rachel Hurd Wood, Fiona Shaw, Emilia Fox, Charlotte Riley, Johnny Harris, Maryam D’Abo and Douglas Henshall. Source
Principal photography is set to begin July 28, 2008, with Oliver Parker directing a script by relative newcomer Toby Finlay. According to producer Barnaby Thompson, “the idea is to give it a sexy, contemporary feel but still doing it in period.” Source
So, apparently filmimg starts on July 28, that’s tomorrow! and a good friend of Ben, fellow actor Colin Firth, is in it too.
If anyone has/finds more information, do not hesitate to let us know!
I have opened a Youtube channel for BBF. Make sure to suscribe to our videos as I will be uploading more videos soon.
As for the Birthday Book Project, I am accepting submissions until Tuesday. Moreover, if you want to submit just text (a story, a song, a poem, etc…) because you are not good with graphics, you can do so. If you haven’t heard back from us, your entry has most likely been accepted, though I will let everyone know if their submissions have been accepted. Thanks to everyone who has participated so far!
