@bleep, why do you find it eerie? I know it is very moving and thought-provoking. I find it all fascinating, my grandfather was in the trenches for most of WW1 and was gassed, although thankfully he came home in one piece. He also came back to England on leave at least once because my mum was born in 1916, in the middle of the war.

Very interesting!About Birdsong

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1602660/board/thread/165130035?d=171216511&p=16#171216511” He is young and confronted with such injustice and suffering all the time….and his response to that seems to be a lot of screaming. His voice is going out the window on this play if he isn’t careful. Next stop laryngitis”
Poor Ben…

I want to ask a question. What does exactly mean “the spirit that helped paint most of the globe pink” ( from magazine article)?September 26th, 2010
Helaine said:I didn’t understand it either… Which is not a surprise, since I’m not a native speaker and I don’t understand many idioms and phrases… I’m always asking for Google’s help! =P
About this same article, I don’t know if it’s just me and my myopia, but I didn’t recognize Ben on that first picture! Except for the chin dimple, he seems totally different to me! If it weren’t in an article about Birdsong, I would never tell it was Ben on that picture… o.o

By ‘eerie’, I meant no disrespect to any war veteran. Discovering life fascinates me, whereas millions of people dying brutal deaths does not. Although, I agree with you that it is moving and thought-provoking and also important and very necessary to know about these things. I guess it is eerie in the way that visiting a crime scene, or a place where a fire has happened, is; Or like visiting a grevesite.September 26th, 2010

KeyKey2DaBenz (aka bleep!) said:OMGalene! That was the most HILARIOUS review I have ever read!!! LOL- literally! Aww, and Ben sounds so funny and CUTE!!! Although, all that about him getting all worked up and straining his voice also sounded…hot! In addition to Cute! I would like to have been there to hear him being so emotional and “screaming” x)
I think that was a pretty fair review! ;) I agree with her about describing someone who is numb and resigned from seeing terrible things out of their controll.
>Now back to Benj’s cuteness… the tripping part and flashing his $million dollar$ smile… ;) ahh Ben…

@Galene, thanks for the links – so interesting to read, lets hope we keep getting more reviews from actual people who were there, more fun than the press reviews in my opinion.
And … I have absolutely no idea what “the spirit that helped paint most of the globe pink” means either! Never heard it before.
