Helaine said:@Nightshade – Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us!! I wish so badly I could meet him too… :(
“While he was signing things etc I had a good look up and down, as you might expect :-) He looked so very yummy. BTW his hair didn’t seem too short – very little different from the Empire pics, and it is so thick, it was hard to resist running my fingers through it!”
Oh, I can totally understand that!! I guess I would have to work hard on my self-control before meeting him… =P
@Nicole L. – Thanks for the new stills! I don’t know why I wasn’t following Birdsong’s page on Facebook yet, what a fool… lol

Dianne said:I am one of Ben’s older fans. Was fortunate to meet him after Birdsong last night. Had to wait for half an hour for him to come out after the show, but must say he was rather charming. I was the only fan waiting, he signed my programme and when I asked for a photograph of him, he quickly asked one of the ‘autograph collectors’ outside to take us together ! It’s a great photo of Ben, but probably not of me !

Helaine said:@Dianne – Oh, that’s wonderful, you’re very lucky! :D Are you planning to share the photo on line?

Smiles))) said:Dianne,
Please, tell us more about your experience! What else did Ben do and say and act…and, as Nightshade told us, did he smell good also? :) And we would love to see another fan photo of Ben! Don’t hesitate to make a long story longer! Haha! We love all these new stories! :D (and this goes for anyone who has met Ben:):) Thank You :)

Dianne said:It was a very short meeting. It was late 11pm. Before he signed my programme he asked if I wanted it dedicated to anyone and I said ‘It’s for me actually’ and told him how to spell my name. As I said I am older than Ben, so he might have thought I wanted the autograph for my daughter ! Otherwise I just told him how much I enjoyed his performance and he smiled and said thank you. I said that I was looking forward to seeing his next film and wished him every success in the future. He just kept smiling and saying thank you.
I am only 5′ 2″ so Ben is a lot taller than I am and he put his arm around my shoulder for the photo and leant towards me. All else I can say that he is very goodlooking, quite stunning in fact and has a lovely smiling face.
I was on my own but Ben was with someone that I thought could be his agent.
The photo is very good of Ben. He had just finished working and still has lots of energy. i expect it’s hard to wind down after being on stage for 3 hours. I was very tired ! It’s not easy to cut myself out of the photo, but if I can crop it, how can I put it on here ?October 8th, 2010

Thank you for the story! :) Aww, that sounds so lovely!
“He just kept smiling and saying thank you” -I wonder if he was embarrassed and turning pink ;)
“quite stunning in fact and has a lovely smiling face” -aww, so cute…
Wow! He has lots of energy after the play! I wouldn’t have thought that :).
Thanks so much again, Dianne!
I’m not sure how exactly for you to post your photo here but, perhaps you could click on ‘website’ at the top of the page and email your photo to Ben Barnes Fan’s contact email address. Or if you are a part of the forum you could post it in a thread :)(and also thanks so much Nightshade! I forgot to thank you too for your lovely story!)

Helaine said:@Dianne – What a lovely story! Thanks for sharing it with us! ^^
Aw, I’m so envy of you guys who had the opportunity to meet Ben! But it’s a good envy… ;)
Yeah, you can do like Smiles said, or you also can upload the photo to one of these free hosting sites, such as Imagebam or Photobucket, and put the link here. But I think the idea of you posting in the forum is better… ;)
@Smiles – “I wonder if he was embarrassed and turning pink ;)”
I cant totally imagine that… lolOctober 8th, 2010
Helaine said:@Dianne – Don’t be so hard on yourself! Nightshade too thought it was a horrible pic of herself and it wasn’t, I’m sure it’s the same with yours… ;)

sally c said:Hi all, for those who met Ben after ‘Birdsong’, where did you guys wait (front? back? of Comedy Theatre?) and how long did you wait after the show? I am traveling to London next month and booked a Friday 7:30pm show…what’s my chance of meeting him? Does he come out to meet the fans after each show? Thanks in advance for sharing the info.

Helaine said:@sally c – Read again Nightshade’s and Dianne’s reports and you will find some of the answers you need. :)
On the forum also there’re some reports, even a more datailed one by Nightshade. The forum is currently unavailable, but you can check it when it comes back – well, I hope the posts will be still there…

sally c said:@Helaine ~~ Thx so much! I’ve read both Dianne’s and Nightshade’s posts! Per Nightshade, I was able to locate the “Stage Door” by using Google map…hopefully, I will be able to meet Ben in person because I am traveling 4,000+ miles to see him :)

Helaine said:@sally c – Although I’m not going to see Birdsong, I’ve searched for the “Stage Door” using the Google Maps too! =P Just to feel a little closer to him… Ok, I know it sounded silly… lol
Well, based on the fan’s reports and all these fan photos that are always coming out, I think it’s quite easy to meet him, both before (if you get there early) and after the play. I so wish I could go too… :(
I hope you have a great time there! And don’t forget to take a picture with him and share it with us! :D
