There’s been a casting change behind the scenes on HBO’s Westworld: Actor Eion Bailey is leaving the sci-fi thriller a week after he was announced as joining the show. A scheduling conflict emerged before Bailey started, and now Ben Barnes (Chronicles of Narnia) is taking over the role of Logan.
The character is described as a “louche bachelor and veteran Westworld guest. His hedonistic romp through Westworld is equally motivated by self-indulgence and a desire to help his friend, William.”
Westworld stars James Marsden, Evan Rachel Wood, Thandie Newton, Anthony Hopkins, Jeffrey Wright and Ed Harris in the series version of Michael Crichton’s techno-thriller about androids run amok at a fantasy-fulfilling theme park. The show is planned for 2016.
Ben has recorded an audio version of Curtis Jobling’s ‘A New Hero’, the first book in the ‘World of Warriors’ series. The digital audiobook will be released simultaneously with the book on August 6, 2015 by Penguin Audio. The official synopsis can be found below.
Richard ‘Trick’ Hope is used to getting into trouble, but not like this …
On the run from bullies, Trick finds himself transported to the mystical Wildlands, a place where the greatest warriors throughout history have been summoned to fight in a battle for survival – from Romans and Vikings to Knights and Samurai!
A cryptic old man tells Trick that he’s there for a reason – to deliver the Wildlands from the evil Boneshaker, who rules with an army of terrifying minions. Trick has been chosen to form a band of the seven greatest warriors to defeat this terrible enemy. As Trick begins his epic quest the stakes couldn’t be higher: defeat Boneshaker or never see home again.
Ben was spotted attending the women’s final between Serena Williams and Garbiñe Muguruza at Wimbledon in London earlier this afternoon. A new interview with Ben from the event, as well as a clip of him in the crowd, have been added to our video archive.
