is he really wearing a wig? wouldnt be surprised if it was the case given that the story chronicles 10 years of Neil McCormick’s life and he himself undergone different hairstyles. if that is Ben’s real hair then i’d bet good money he is ALWAYS getting carded at bars now lol!

McCormick’s book is wonderful! for those who hasnt read it– READ IT! i highly recommend it! the story is so relatable to everybody regardless of what you do for a living or how successful (or not) you are in your life, because at some point, you wanted something so bad and you didnt get it despite all the sacrifices you’ve gone through for it. its hilarious, its heart-warming, there are parts where its thought provoking. its just great work and i hope this movie will make this book fly off the shelves again.

and truly i hope this film will do justice to the book, because its a crying shame if it wouldnt.

The story really starts when Neil McCormick is in Mount Temple – which would make him young-to-mid teens. Neil specified the age he started at the school in the book, but for the life of me I can’t remember. But, when you consider that photo’s been taken in a school then Ben’s look makes a lot more sense, as it would tie in with that age bracket.

I prefer him with long hair minus the beard which he modeled for Dawn Treader. When he sports a facial hair he looks his age but without it, he looks 10 yrs younger.
