And yes, he does seem not at all prude, at least when it comes to talking about things like this … very nice and absolutely entertaining XD

And one last comment:
Kissing a man? I thought they didn’t include ANY homosexual scenes in Dorian Gray? [I wouldn’t mind, though *laughs* nevermind me]

i think the article from OK is from previous interviews Ben had, because I remember that exact quote he said about “I’m single, bring all the ladies” or something like that, but that was in another interview from last year. Who knows if the Cosmo interview is true, personally, I think it is. I think he’s just becoming more open about things now. I thought it was funny!

He’s constantly saying he doesn’t understand how any girl would find him attractive since he sees himself as plain and that he doesn’t have time with his career to spend time at home much less with a girlfriend. If he does have one, great on him. But the discrepancy of the articles combined with past comments he’s made makes the idea seem fishy since it’s the rumor mill at work, with him in the spotlight. It’s the same thing that happens to other actors all the time. Everyone knows that you can’t take what a writer says as fact unless it comes directly from the actor themselves. Even then they may or may not be telling the truth. Even back when he was filming Easy Virtue he talked about how he was unable to pick up a girl in a bar. That said, prude he definitely is not. Then again look at what his mother’s career is that he said in interviews as well he was teased for at school while growing up.

i think the people in cosmo added some stuff to the article to make ben sound really interesting and create hype for dorian gray. ben has a lot of stuff going on right now. he has said in like all the interviews that he is busy with his career but looks forward to finding someone along the way. i think ok magazine is more reliable, well in this case than cosmo or reveal magazine.
i remember he did an article reporting he was with someone months ago but the interviewer pointed out that it as false and ben said that aswell.

i personally think that its all hype to get people into theatre to see dorian gray.

in the cosmo, he never said that he was taken in the article right?

i think this was the same magazine made up an interview with scarlett joahnsen and she came out saying that the interview was incorrect.

cosmo aint a very good source for facts nor is reveal magazine.

You’re right, he never mentions anything about currently having a girlfriend in the Cosmo interview yet insists that he doesn’t in the OK article as well as every other magazine article to date. As humble and down to earth as he is, why would he insist to everyone that a certain thing was true if it really wasn’t? It would only make him look shady and untrustworthy and cause people to lack any respect for him. The phraseology that he uses clearly implies he doesn’t have anyone at the moment. Writers make stuff up all the time to draw in crowds and up the circulation, and the actors in question set the record straight that they are being slandered until it happens yet again to make the magazine companies rich since they don’t care who they’re hurting in the process. This is a never-ending cycle. Ben knows what’s going on in his life (and what isn’t) better than an ignorant money/fame-hungry reporter who will write anything, most of the time being false.

I just wanted to leave this message to confirm with you guys that the cosmo interview is entirely real. I work at Cosmopolitan and even though i do not work on the celebrity side of the magazine I know all the girls very well that interview. The interview was taken with Ben about a month ago during a phone interview.

Just wanted to end that debate. I know its very hard to tell sometimes what is a current interview and what is quotes from previous. As for the OK interview i would not know whether it is current but the Cosmo one definately is so everything you read came straight from bens mouth!

Hope this clears up the debate!!

Thats ok. Ive been working in mags for 5 years now and I know it can get confusing to whether you believe interviews are real or not. Usually monthly mags will be more accurate and the content will be real rather than weeklys purely because you have a longer amount of time to put the issue together.
