HBO has set a premiere date for their highly-anticipated sci-fi western drama ‘Westworld’. The series will debut Sunday, October 2nd at 9 PM (ET).

The one-hour drama series is a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the evolution of sin. Set at the intersection of the near future and the reimagined past, it explores a world in which every human appetite, no matter how noble or depraved, can be indulged.

Must admit , I share the concern some have about the size of his role. The trailer was super cool, but I later found out I mixed him up with another actor . Not so cool :(((( Fingers crossed for Ben!

He doesn’t have anything else on his IMDB page and that always makes me nervous. :) I really worry about this far too much.

I’m afraid that his role will be an uncredited cameo. The filmmakers aren’t paying much attention to him (like for example in Dorian Gray or in the Narnia series), because of that big cast and such. But it doesn’t bother me at all. I’ll watch it anyway :D
But I agree, it’s a shame. Ben has lots of talent to be in lead role :)

Jimmy Simpson and Ben Barnes’ characters have a really cool journey through our narrative. You’ll meet a handful of other guests along the way. Ed [Harris‘] character (seen below) features as the expert level player coming to this park. He says he’s been coming to this park for 30 years. He knows everything about it.”

Thanks Stephanie for this interesting paragraph. I didn’t know about the player aspect of the guests. :) So Ben’s character won’t die after episode 1, which is a good news (his character didn’t last very long in the original movie). ;)
