Ben *is* Tom Ward. He fits the role so perfectly. So what the age gap from the books to the movie, that’s part of the adaptation. Reading the book series I always pictured Ben as that character. I wish the movie was more like the books meaning a bit more dark and spooky and less special effects (at least that’s how it appears from the previews) but, no matter, I’m sure Ben will be terrific. I like the casting for Alice, too.
