Elizabeth Siddall was the Kate Moss of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood. She posed for artists such as Walter Deverrell and William Holman Hunt and inspired John Everetts Millais’s Ophelia (1852) before becoming Dante Gabriel Rossetti’s muse and later, his wife. Now, over 150 years later she has inspired Katherine Knowles biographical play which spirals between her relationship with Rossetti, and his relationship with his sister, the poet Christina Rossetti.
