Lionsgate has acquired US and UK distribution rights to the ensemble comedy, The Wedding. The film will be released in North America on October 19, 2012.
Lionsgate has acquired U.S. and U.K. distribution rights to ensemble comedy ‘The Big Wedding’ from Nu Image / Millenium films.
Lionsgate plans to open the film domestically on Oct. 19, 2012. The announcement was made jointly Tuesday.
Cast includes Robert De Niro, Susan Sarandon, Diane Keaton, Katherine Heigl, Amanda Seyfried, Robin Williams, Ben Barnes and Topher Grace. It’s currently shooting in Greenwich, Ct.
‘Wedding’, written and directed by Justin Zackham, centers around De Niro and Keaton’s characters, a long divorced couple being forced to pretend that they are still happily married at their son’s wedding.

Ben was spotted on the set of ‘The Words‘ in Montreal, Canada yesterday. They filmed 2 scenes on the top of Mount Royal, which looked to be flashback sequences from the 1940’s or 1950’s. Check out the photos in the gallery!
Ben is currently in negotiations for the starring role, opposite Jeff Bridges, in Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures’ fantasy tentpole, ‘The Seventh Son‘.
After playing the title role in ‘The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian’, Ben Barnes is in line for another, as the Brit thesp is in negotiations to star in Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures’ fantasy tentpole, ‘The Seventh Son’.
Formerly known as ‘The Spook’s Apprentice’, tale is adapted from Joseph Delaney’s young adult series about a teen who’s the seventh son of a seventh son, and learns about wizardry from a forbidding spook.
Jeff Bridges will take on the role of the Spook, while Julianne Moore will play a witch in the pic, which is also slated to star Swedish thesp Alicia Vikander.
